TK Maxx Advert – Video and music details for the clothing retailers new Comic Relief, Red Nose Day TV ad, starring Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams.
This year sees Comic Relief team up with fashion retailer TK Maxx and the British photographer Rankin, to create a selection of animal-themed t-shirts.
Available to buy, along with coordinating pyjama sets, these t-shirts are for sale exclusively at TK Maxx stores, or through their website. For every t-shirt sold, £5 will be donated to Comic Relief.
In the advert we see this range of nine designs being modelled by the English actress Maisie Williams, who fans of the fantasy TV drama Game of Thrones will of course know best for playing the role of Arya Stark.
The music playing in this TV ad is US hip hop group The Sugarhill Gang’s version of the song ‘Apache’, which is often called ‘Jump On It’.
The Sugarhill Gang covered the Incredible Bongo Band’s version of Apache in 1981, with the track also appearing on the groups second album ‘8th Wonder’.
You may well recognise this song from Confused.com’s 2016 ad campaign, starring a dancing BRIAN The Robot.
The above 20-second video was posted to the official TK Maxx YouTube channel on the 3rd of March, 2017.
