Featuring a new face and an uplifting soundtrack, Sky Mobile have just launched this refreshing ‘Hello Possible’ TV ad campaign, which says hello to a world where the usual rules don’t apply.
Who’s the woman talking in this new Sky Mobile advert?
Replacing Tom Hardy as the face of the brands TV commercials is English actress Lily James, who used to play the character Lady Rose MacClare in ITV’s hit period drama Downton Abbey. You may also recognise 29-year-old Lily from BBC’s War & Peace or her title role in Disney’s Cinderella.
Miss James will also be appearing in the upcoming musical romcom Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, where she plays a young Donna Sheridan.
Fitting in very nicely with the ads visuals, the song playing here is The Beach Boys 1966 tune ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’. Taken from the American rock groups eleventh studio album ‘Pet Sounds’, the single was written by Brian Wilson, Tony Asher, and Mike Love, and peaked at number 8 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
This ‘Hello Possible’ TV ad for Sky Mobile launched on 4 May, 2018 and shows lots of things happening that would normally break the laws of physics. A boy grabs hold of a giant bubble to fly through a city park, a man pauses time to catch the bus, a girl jumps into a small puddle that splashes out to become huge waves and another guy uses his newspaper to glide over a busy road.
While twirling a smartphone on her finger, Lily James then says “Hello to a world where the usual rules don’t apply. Where you can do things with this, you couldn’t do before. Because Sky Mobile lets you swap your phone each year, mix your plan anytime and role over all your unused data. Hello Sky Mobile. Hello possible.”
The above 50-second video, which was created by ad agency WCR and posted to their Vimeo channel, is now already airing on television and online streaming services.
The follow-up to this first advert shows Lily relaxing on a sunlounger, at a beach where the tide won’t wash away kids sandcastles.
