Music and singers details to the ‘Meet The Accomplice – Innovation That Excites’ YouTube and TV ad for the All-New Nissan Micra.
Nissan’s latest TV advert playfully reenacts the crimes of notorious American robbers and murderers, Bonnie and Clyde, this time replacing their V8 Ford with the all-new Micra.
Unsurprisingly, the commercial doesn’t end with a police shootout and the car being sprayed with bullets, but instead with the Nissan being driven off peacefully down a desert highway.
At this point we’re told “Life’s always more interesting with a partner in crime” and to “Meet the accomplice”.
The song featured in this advert is of course ‘Bonnie And Clyde’, a French track performed by the actors/singers Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot. The song was released in 1968.
The above ‘Innovation That Excites – Meet The Accomplice’ video was posted to the official Nissan UK YouTube channel on the 21st of March, 2017.
Believed to be responsible for killing at least nine police officers and several civilians during the 1930’s, Bonnie and Clyde, and their gang would surely be classed today as terrorists. Yet a romanticised version of their story is instead inspiring TV ad campaigns.
