Nissan TV commercial starring footballer Yaya Touré in the Truckerball Challenge.
What’s the song used in the Nissan Light Commercial Vehicles football advert?
The track featured in this latest ad from Nissan UK is the 1992 House of Pain hit, simply titled ‘Jump Around’. Following its originally release, the song reached number 8 in the official UK singles chart. You can now download the full length track from iTunes or Amazon.
Jump Around was produced by Cypress Hill’s DJ Muggs, who also went on to cover it themselves. House of Pain are a three-piece US hip hop group from New York City, who first teamed up in 1991. Jump Around remains the trios biggest hit single.
Promoting Nissan’s range of light commercial vehicles, this Summer 2015 ad features Man City midfielder Yaya Touré playing a football match with a difference – This game takes place on the back of multiple moving flat bed trucks.
However, despite being the star of the commercial, Touré isn’t seen to kick a single ball. The Ivory Coast International instead plays his part by driving one of the vehicles. Most likely down to health and safety, it’s not hard to understand why City wouldn’t want one of their key players having a kick about on the back of a moving lorry.
The video was uploaded to Nissan UK’s YouTube channel on the 24th of August, 2015. Nissan are also official sponsors of the UEFA Champions League.
