Money Super Market Advert – Video and music details to MoneySuperMarket’s new ‘Dirty Dancing’ He-Man & Skeletor TV ad.
Following MoneySuperMarket.com’s already surreal original #EpicSkeletor ad earlier this year, the comparison site’s latest TV advert takes things to a whole new level of epicness.
When it comes to epic dance routines, they don’t come much more iconic than the closing scene from Dirty Dancing.
Now replace Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey with 80’s cartoon characters He-Man and Skeletor, and you’ve got yourself a must-watch TV commercial.
When He-Man first walks into the bar, I thought the advert was going to be a parody of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s famous ‘I need your clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle’ scene from Terminator 2, but it quickly becomes apparent that’s not the case when the jukebox music kicks in.
As with the Dirty Dancing films original version, the song playing during this MoneySuperMarket ad campaign is ‘(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life’, which was recorded in 1987 by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.
With the above full length version of this latest Epic Skeletor advert boasting an impressive running time of 2 minutes, the campaign is due to premiere on our TV screens in early September, 2017.
If you’re wondering who the actor is that plays He-Man in these MSM adverts, his name is Daniel and you can see more of him getting suited up in the video below:
Meanwhile, Skeletor is played by a taller actor/dancer by the name of JJ:
