MANGO Ad Music – September, 2015: Song and singer details for the Autumn and Winter #SOMETHINGINCOMMON TV commercial, featuring Kate Moss.
Song Title: Girls Just Want to Have Fun.
Available For Download: Currently awaiting release.
Starring models Kate Moss & Cara Delevingne, the latest advert for fashion retailer MANGO features a cover of the Cyndi Lauper hit ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’.
This more chilled out version of the song is performed by Portland-based, American electronic/indie rock band, Chromatics.
According to the groups management at Echo Park Records, the track, which was created especially for the commercial, will have its full length version released as a single sometime around late September to early October. This will take place once the ad has begun airing on TV channels around the world.
Chromatics are currently a four piece band consisting of singer, guitarist and keyboard player Ruth Radelet, Adam Miller on guitar and vocoder, drummer and synthesizer player Nat Walker, and multi-instrumentalist Johnny Jewel.
Some of the groups most popular songs to date include ‘Into the Black’, ‘I’m On Fire’, ‘Tick of the Clock’, ‘Lady’, ‘Kill For Love’ and ‘Just Like You’
The original version of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun was released by Cyndi Lauper way back in 1983 and has gone on to become one of the most recognisable songs in the history of pop music.
The 30-second commercial, which promotes MANGO’s new Fall and Winter 2015 collection, stars big name fashion models Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss.
