KENZO World Advert Song – Video, music and artist details for KENZO’s ‘The New Fragrance’ commercial, starring actress, model and dancer Margaret Qualley.
Song Title: Mutant Brain.
Musicians/Singers: Sam Spiegel & Ape Drums feat. Agent Sasco (Assassin).
Now Available For Download From: iTunes, Amazon.com and Amazon UK.
The soundtrack to KENZO’s new ad for their World fragrance comes courtesy of Sam Spiegel & Ape Drums and features the Jamaican deejay Agent Sasco, aka Assassin.
This original song, which is also available in an extended mix, was released for download on the 26th of August.
KENZO’s near 4 minute long commercial was directed by the American film producer and screenwriter Spike Jonze, who’s movie credits include Being John Malkovich, Adaptation and Where the Wild Things Are.
If this ad reminds you, as it did for me, of the classic music video to Fatboy Slim’s ‘Weapon of Choice’ showing actor Christopher Walken dancing around a hotel lobby, that’s probably because Jonze directed that too.
The woman we see in the turquoise dress performing some powerful and bizarre ‘dance’ moves is the American actress and model Margaret Qualley. The 21-year-old is currently best known for playing the character Jill Garvey in HBO’s fantasy-drama series The Leftovers.
Apparently not making things up as she went along, Qualley’s moves were in fact choreographed by Ryan Heffington, who’s previous work includes the hit video to Sia’s ‘Chandelier’.
The above full length video was posted to the official KENZO YouTube channel on the 25th of August, 2016.
