Fresh food recipe box delivery brand Gousto begins 2021 with this big brand-new TV advert that mixes cooking with a menu of great music.
Forget MTV, this ad brings viewers ‘gTV’ as the 60-second video shows people cooking tasty-looking meals in style while taking time out for dancing, DJing, and even playing some electric guitar.
The advert concludes by telling us “Whatever your taste, choose from over 50 recipes a week. Give it some”.
The first three songs that each play briefly during the first half of this Gousto commercial are ‘Nuggets’ by Mura Masa, ‘One To Another’ by The Charlatans, and ‘Rampage’ by Kavinsky. Then comes the ad’s main tune:
Main Advert Song Title: Enola Gay.
Band: Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark.

The catchy piece of music you hear during the latter section of this Gousto advert is a 1980 synth-pop song called ‘Enola Gay’.
Written as an anti-war song, the single was recorded by the English electronic group Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark.
It’s a bit early in the year to be talking about the best TV advert music of 2021, but with this Gousto ad being one of the most soundtrack-focused commercials we’ve seen in a long time, it has to be a contender.
