Watch the brand-new full length ‘You Can’t Beat It’ 2018 GO Outdoors TV advert, starring an adventurous singing dog. We’ll also give you all the music and human singer details. Is this the best ad of 2018 so far?
It’s been a while since we’ve seen an ad on our screen that’s made us smile as much as this, proving once again that advertisers can’t go wrong with a cute animal or child (albeit with the help of some clever CGI), combined with an upbeat, catchy tune.
The video begins with a family dog walking from room to room of their house, only to find his owners busy in worlds of their own, staring at the screens of their televisions, smartphones and tablets. But knowing what’s right for them, the dog breaks into song to draw them outside for some real-world adventure, stimulation and exercise.
Even many of us who’re guilty of spending far too much of our spare time gazing at screens realise we should be making an effort to get closer to nature and not have life pass us by. So with the warmer, dryer weather hopefully just around the corner, the moral and timing of this Go Outdoors advert looks to be spot on.
This canines clever choice of soundtrack is ‘Let Me Go’, which was released for download as a single by Gary Barlow in 2013 and reaching number 2 on the UK charts.
Featuring the lyrics “Fly high and let me go”, the track can also be found on the Take That singer-songwriters fourth solo album ‘Since I Saw You Last’.
The above 60-second subtitled version of this ‘You Can’t Beat It’ GO Outdoors advert was uploaded to the retailers TV YouTube channel on the 11th of April, 2018.
Here’s a look at the official YouTube VEVO music video of Gary Barlow’s Let Me Go, which has so far been viewed more than 10 million times:
