Dogs Trust Christmas Advert – Corky

The moving new Dogs Trust Christmas advert gives us an emotional reminder that a dog is for life, not just for Christmas.

The ad video starts out very joyful as we watch Corky, a little doggy made of cork, happily playing on the dinner table on Christmas Day. But heartbreakingly as the festivities come to a close, Corky is swept off the table and put outside like rubbish. There we are reminded that real dogs are inexplicably and totally unacceptably treated like this.

Dogs Trust created the slogan ‘A dog is for life, not just for Christmas’ over 40 years ago to remind people to only get a dog when they are truly ready for the lifelong commitment. To find out more about adopting a dog or supporting the charity, please visit
