Actor, singer and song details for the men’s fragrances TV commercial. The soundtrack to Bleu De Chanel’s most recent ad is provided by the legendary rock guitarist and singer Jimi Hendrix. The song featured is his unique cover of Bob Dylan’s ‘All Along the Watchtower’.
First released by Dylan on the 1967 album ‘John Wesley Harding’, The Jimi Hendrix Experience went on to record their version the following year. Hendrix was a pioneer in the world of music and is regarded as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Despite being a left-handed musician playing on upside-down right-handed Fender guitars, the US rock star revolutionised the genre, achieving UK hit singles with ‘Hey Joe’, ‘The Wind Cries Mary’ and ‘Purple Haze’.
The man you see starring in this advert is the 30-year-old French model and actor Gaspard Ulliel, who has been appearing in promotional campaigns as the face of Bleu de Chanel since 2010.
The above video was added to Chanel’s official YouTube page back in February, 2015, while the commercial has recently begun broadcasting again on British television.
