Full video, plus music and original singers details to this year’s festive Amazon TV commercial.
This years Amazon Christmas advert follows a bunch of happy boxes on their journey to send a smile this festive season. The video shows the parcels riding around the Amazon Fulfilment Centre, before heading out into planes and delivery vans, while the ad ends with a smiley young girl receiving her gift. Perhaps next years commercial will also include a little drone delivery.
The anthem all the boxes are singing is the classic song ‘Give a Little Bit’, which was originally recorded by English progressive rock band Supertramp.
Featuring the lyrics ‘Give a little bit of your love to me’ and written by band members Rick Davies and Roger Hodgson, the song was released as a single in 1977 and is the opening track on Supertramp’s fifth album ‘Even in the Quietest Moments…’
Working on the assumption that Amazon boxes can’t really sign for themselves, we’re not currently aware who’s providing the vocals for the cover version used in the ad, but we’ll update this page if we find out.
Amazon’s full length 60-second version of their ‘Give’ Christmas TV ad spot was posted to their Amazon.co.uk YouTube channel on the 3rd of November, 2017.
